Financial Arrangements

  1. At present financial subsidy is NOT available from the seminary or the synod, so these courses will need to be funded locally or on the district level.
  2. Unless there are conference or district funds for this purpose, each person taking part in a pastors institute or summer quarter course should be charged a fee so that together the fees will cover the expenses (presenter’s honorarium plus his expenses) involved.
  3. From the amount you collect as a fee for a pastors institute or as tuition for a summer quarter course, at present you will pay the presenter $500 for a summer quarter course, or $315 for a pastors institute, PLUS his travel/board/room expenses for both SQs and PIs.
  4. We suggest a minimum enrollment of 10 for a summer quarter course and 15 for a pastors’ institute.
  5. If your enrollment is higher than anticipated and you have funds left over after paying the expenses, you might best save them for future use. Experience has shown that, since the number of participants varies from year to year, so does the income. The extra from one year can be used to cover the shortfall another year.
