The office of mission advancement released gift reports for the first five months of the fiscal year 2007-2008.
Gifts to the Annual Fund totaled $133,547, representing a 36% increase over last year’s gifts of $98,168. The Annual Fund supports the day-to-day operations of the seminary, offering support for faculty, technology, student field experiences, and campus upkeep. Continuing gifts to the Annual Fund are needed to ensure a high quality yet affordable education for our students.
Scholarship Fund gifts totaled $136,296, a 77% increase over last year. We also received two large permanently restricted gifts, one for $745,000 and another for $250,000. Permanently restricted gifts remain intact, allowing for only a portion of the gift or generated income to be distributed each year.
Commenting on these reports, President Wendland reminds us, “We do have every reason to rejoice at the generosity of our God, and the generosity his Gift continues to inspire in our people.”
