Early assignment of candidate

The assignment committee has issued a call earlier than usual because of possible immigration issues with one of our seniors. Senior Bramdeo Ramgolam has accepted the call to serve Trinity congregation in St. Lucia. Following graduation, Ramgolam will return to his home congregation and join the ministry team of Rev. Thomas Spiegelberg and Mr. Erik Landwehr.

Trinity Lutheran Church of Castries, St. Lucia, traces its roots northward to its sister Caribbean island of Antigua and St. John’s Lutheran Church. In the early 1990s following the move of many members from St. John’s to the island of St. Lucia, the Antiguan pastoral staff sought funding for exploratory outreach there. A resident missionary has been in place since 1991.

There are six called workers preaching the gospel to the people of these tiny West Indies countries. Our prayers go with Mr. Ramgolam as he completes his final months of study and prepares for his return home.
