Continuing education

Grow in Grace, the institute for continuing education, is pleased to announce course information for 2012, information on the Hebrew review and institute coming to Mequon, and continuing education scholarship details.

Winterim will be held January 9-20, 2012. Space is available in all on-campus courses for called workers who would like to attend. In addition, three online courses will be available during the spring semester, January 16 – March 16: Study of Song of Songs, Leadership in Paul, and Freshness & Variety in Proclaiming Law & Gospel.

Course information and registration for Summer Quarter 2012 is also now available on the Grow in Grace Web site. One-, two-, and three-week courses will be offered on-campus June 18 through July 6. Four online courses will be offered June 11 through August 10. Contemporary Issues in Bible Translation will also be our first hybrid course with both online and on campus components.

The Hebrew Review 2012 and Hebrew Institute 2012 courses, held previously only in New Ulm, will now be offered in Mequon every other year (as well as every year in New Ulm). The Hebrew Review (June 25-29) provides parish pastors the opportunity to regain and enhance their skills in working with Hebrew. The Hebrew Institute (July 2-6) features the rapid reading of Hebrew prose as a way to gain confidence in Hebrew language skills.

Our matching scholarship program continues. The seminary will match all contributions toward tuition made by a worker’s calling body for any WLS for-credit on-campus, off-campus, or online course.

Detailed course information and registration instructions for all continuing education courses can be found online at the Grow in Grace Web site, www.wlsce.net.
