Financial seminars for students

Pastor Caleb Schoeneck, Beautiful Savior, College Station, TX, led a financial seminar on Thursday, May 5 for second year students. Building on information presented to them during their junior year, Pastor Schoeneck offered continuing guidance on debt solutions, money management, and life insurance needs. The seminar also covered information pertaining to the students’ upcoming vicar year. Salary, insurance coverage, WELS human resources procedures, and other legalities were addressed by Prof. Forest Bivens, seminary vice president and financial aid officer, in preparation for the students’ move into congregations this August.

On Friday, May 6, the seniors participated in a day-long seminar on clergy participation in Social Security, retirement and investment planning, housing, insurance, and taxes.
