Travelling professors

Faculty members will teach overseas during the next year as part of the visiting professor program. Coordinated with the WELS Board for World Missions (BWM) and under the direction of the world mission seminary professor, faculty members teach at seminaries in our fellowship around the world.

Rev. Daniel Koelpin, administrator of WELS BWM, values the program as vital to the mission work of WELS. “The Board for World Missions appreciates the assistance of the seminary in the complicated task of teaching the whole counsel of God to future national pastors of other cultures around the world.” WELS BWM funds a full-time seminary professor to support such important work.

Over the summer and during the 2010-2011 school year, professors will travel to Hong Kong, Ukraine, Nigeria, India, and Mexico. These teaching assignments are a blessing to both the teacher and the seminaries they visit.
