Year-end gift report

Gifts to the Seminary Fund as of December 31, 2008 totaled $170,600. Included are unrestricted gifts of $164,590 and permanently restricted gifts of $6,010. Unrestricted gifts can be used as needed while permanently restricted gifts are invested and only the earnings are available for current use. The Seminary Fund supports the day-to-day operations of the seminary.

Scholarship Fund gifts totaled $217,841. This includes gifts of $179,291 which are available to fund current student aid needs and permanently restricted gifts of $38,550 from which investment earnings will provide continuing funds for student financial aid.
