Description: Thursday – Deuteronomy 30:15-20 These verses from Moses’ farewell to the Israelites emphasize that the choice between God and sin is also the choice between life and death. The two-sided covenant given by God was simple: Love the Lord and be blessed, or turn away and be destroyed. Israel knew the clear benefit of obedience and the clear consequence of disobedience. We too know these. However, the covenant God offers us in one-sided. We know the Lord is our life and so we gladly listen to his voice, hold fast to him, and walk in his ways.
