The Four Branches Review

Brothers,
It’s only March, but where I live and serve, that means springtime (no offense to those of you showing up early on Sunday mornings to shovel the church sidewalk). About a month ago, I started feeling guilty each time I passed my dust-covered running shoes. Once I started using them again, the same old realization came back: the more you experience the blessings of exercise, the more eager you are to make time for it.
I think of that when I consider God’s Word through Paul: “And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight” (Philippians 1:9). The more we continue to grow in our knowledge of our Savior’s Word, the more his love abounds in us.
Our new contributors this month serve us well to that end, and I thank them for their work. If you’ve found this newsletter an “easy on-ramp” to personal growth, consider two other resources:
–         Shepherd’s Study is once again producing extremely helpful book reviews. It’s a wonderful resource to make use of as you consider additions to your study.
–         If you’re let your subscription to Wisconsin Lutheran Quarterly lapse, you can renew it easily here. Your ministry and faith-life will be all the richer for it.
God bless your continued growth.
