Recognizing Your Gifts & Maximizing Their Use: Serving from Strength Inside & Outside the Congregation
Presenter: Kathie Wendland
God has gifted us all with a unique set of talents to be a blessing to those he puts around us in our world and in the church. God hasn’t called us to try to do everything, but as we grow in identifying the unique ways God has wired each of us for service, we can find the great joy of living out what he has prepared from all eternity for us to do in his kingdom.
Kathie Wendland has served for 45 years as a registered nurse working directly with patients and in administrative positions both in the military and in many other health care settings. She also served as a medical mission nurse in Malawi. With her husband, the late Prof. E. H. Wendland, she experienced the public ministry both on the world mission field and at our seminary. Kathie has been involved for many years in leading women’s Bible studies and retreats on many topics both near her home in Mishicot, WI, and now more broadly throughout the US and including Ottawa, Canada, and Lusaka, Zambia in the past few years as part of our synod’s Women’s Ministry Committee.
