On February 18 at 10:00 a.m., the Seminary Chorus will appear at St. John Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, once the largest and one of the most historic churches in WELS. The congregation was founded in 1848, and its 1889 twin-spired edifice still stands at the corner of Eighth and Vliet Streets, just across the river from downtown Milwaukee. Formerly pastored by two presidents of WELS, its parsonage served as “synodical headquarters” for over 50 years. St. John’s on the Hillside is reorganizing—now with a new name—and looking forward to reaching out in its growing neighborhood with the gospel of Jesus.
Come and hear the Chorus on February 18 and support this old/young congregation with your presence.
