Description: With his death and resurrection, Jesus completed the work he had come to earth to do: He overturned the terror of sin and death and brought sinners back God. As the Savior’s work came to an end, the work of his followers was about to begin. He appeared to his fearful and doubting apostles and commissioned them to carry out the ministry of the gospel. The peace he brings to his followers of every age is what leads us to share that peace with the world.
